On February 24th, Saxo Fintech Business School (SFBS) of University of Sanya became the official co-sponsor of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Fintech Professional Programme (the SHMFP Programme). As the first cooperating university in Hainan to join the SHMFP Programme, SFBS will bring into play its regional advantage by linking Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and Hainan Free Trade. SFBS will promote the training of higher education talents in Fintech and participate in the forefront of innovation and development in the financial industry.
Learning from the qualification examination systems of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the SHMFP Programme is a Fintech talent training mechanism combining exam, training and qualification accreditation with the industry associations, universities and research institutes as its backing. The Shenzhen Local Financial Supervision and Administration consults extensively with the Hong Kong Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Macao Monetary Authority, and instructs jointly with the Shenzhen Central Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China, the Shenzhen Office of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission and the Shenzhen Office of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
As the first Fintech Professional Programme in the world, the SHMFP Programme was officially launched in March 2019. Benchmarked against the CFA in the field of Fintech, it is one of the core initiatives to give full play to the advantages of being adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao and to build a multi-level mechanism of Fintech talent training, as well as an important attempt to promote the consistency of Fintech talent standards under the background of “One Country, Two Systems”. It is of strategic importance to help the Greater Bay Area to build a " Fintech highland" with international influence and to build a modern industrial system with international competitiveness.
Saxo Fintech Lab
