The mid-term meeting for international undergraduates and welcome session for 2024 new international postgraduates were held at the International Department of USY on November 21. Director of International Department Zhang Yuhong and Advisor Wang Ling hosted the meeting, with 12 international students in attendance.
Director Zhang Yuhong warmly welcomed all international students, expressed her hope that they can actively participate in the university's activities, and enjoy their study and life on campus.
Advisor Wang Ling provided guidance and exchanged ideas with the new students on five aspects: enrollment procedures, safety education, academic and disciplinary matters, dining in the cafeteria, and dormitory management. During the discussion, she gave detailed answers to questions raised by international students about campus life. Before the end of the meeting, the 2024 Autumn intakes were given gifts as the celebration for their entrance into USY.
The meeting was successful. Through this meeting, faculty and staff of USY would be able to understand the living and learning conditions of the students and keep track oftheir studies and life, enhance the support and services for them ensuring that they have a positive and enriching experience at University of Sanya.
