The 2025 mid-term meeting for international students was held on November 19th. The meeting aimed to help students better adapt to campus life and studies at USY by focusing on learning and explanation of the attendance and accommodation regulations, suggestions on improving their Chinese language proficiency and academic adaptation abilities. It was co-hosted by from the International Department, with all undergraduate and master's students attending.

The meeting went in a warm and engaging atmosphere. The advisors provided detailed guidance on the key themes. Ms. Wang elaborated regulations concerning exam misconduct, leave requests, scholarship reviews, and other related procedures. Mr. Hou, aligning with the HSK preparation requirements, introduced effective Chinese learning strategies and shared insights on how to utilize tools like AI to support academic learning. The students participated in the discussion, exchanging their respective learning experiences.

During the discussion session, the advisors and students actively exchanged ideas on aspects of residential life, language test preparation methods, and daily coursework. Students knew well about the upcoming learning goals and better understood campus regulations.

The meeting not only addressed the concerns that international students have encountered in their academic and daily lives but helped to improve the management and services for them at USY.
